I've been working lately on something that's been taking far too long, since I'm much too much of a perfectionist. What I'm
supposed to be doing is writing administration tools for
The Receptacle. What I've
actually done so far is write a massive application framework in PHP, which allows templating and has all its functionality supplied by dynamically loaded plugins. It will be a good base to build these aforementioned tools on, as well as several other projects I've got going, but I'm currently spending all my time tweaking the plugin API, user authentication and template system. I haven't really written many plugins yet.
I have, at least, got a name for it. I've called my framework "Hubris", which is appropriate in many, many ways.
Not today, though! I'm shutting down the development machine and am moving the Playstation into the lounge room. I may go outside and buy coffee at some point. That is all I'm doing until it's time to go and pick up Eris from school.
